Football season 2015

We were able to go to several football games this year.  We LOVE football.  It's definitely my favorite sport to watch.  I like it even more when I'm watching the Wolfpack play!  Thanks to my super awesome cousin, I got to go to two State games this year!

And let's have a moment of silence for this guy.  He wore red.  True love.

Jereme couldn't go to the next game so Emma Grace and I went!  She breaks my heart daily with her current affection for the light blue, but she says she still likes the Wolfpack a little.  And, sure enough, she put on her cheer dress and got all into the game once we arrived in Raleigh.  Red will do that to you.  I feel like it sort of has the same effect on Jereme.  He talks a hard game and then he's sitting in the stands and finds himself clapping.

Please, Lord Jesus, send one of my babies to State.  Amen.

Jereme said I bought her love with that overpriced State bear she's holding.  Yes.  I sure did.

At half time we met up with our cousins and one of their friends.  Which turned into our own halftime show.

Then....

You know what they say.  All's fair in love and war.  Jereme has patiently gone to MANY State games with me and it was time for me to pay up.  He bought football tickets for us and the big girls.  In Chapel Hill.

I'm not saying God hates the Tarheels.  I'm just saying my Wolfpack games were sunny skies and his Tarheel game was gloomy and rainy.  That's all I'm saying.

Walking down Franklin Street.  Still raining.

The Old Well.  Just a side note, I'll die if one of my babies goes to UNC.  I WILL DIE.

After the game, we walked down Franklin Street for a while, ducking in and out of shops.  And picking up the pieces to my broken heart.

Halloween 2015

We had a fun Halloween this year!  Charlotte is at a fun age and enjoys doing whatever the big girls do.  And, of course, Emma Grace and Caroline LIVE for dress up.

This year the girls were Princess Jasmine, Queen Elsa, and a pink flamingo.  We did some trial wearing of Charlotte's head piece because when we first tried it on she kept taking it off.  And without the hat she just looked like a pink blob.  But she actually left it on the whole time!

Halloween started with a party at our friend's house the weekend before.  Our friends always go big on their party and this year was no exception!  Candy and prizes, games, hay rides, music, and lots of food!  It was a fun day!

This picture cracks me up!  We tried getting all the kids in a picture and so many babies had to be pulled out for crying, toddlers kept running away, and big kids were over it before it even started.

We also went on a hunt for pumpkins for our front porch.  We got a big pumpkin to carve and the girls each got to pick out a pumpkin.

And finally, on Halloween day, we went to church for a big pumpkin bash followed by a little trick-or-treating in the neighborhood.  The fun part of it was that all the grandparents joined us!  (This is a chapter from the book "When Two Only Children Wed")

We never use our double stroller anymore, but it was perfect for Halloween.  The girls got tired of walking and Caroline gets super scared of costumes and sounds so she sat in the stroller with the cover over her a lot of the time!  Bless her.

We loved celebrating the fun (and not scary) part of Halloween with our favorite Jasmine, Elsa, and flamingo!

Caroline's Halloween Party

Caroline's preschool had a little Halloween parade and party a few days before Halloween.  They decided to make their costumes instead of wearing something from home and it turned out super cute!!  Caroline chose to be a princess, naturally!  Others in her class were Elsa, a scarecrow, a spider, and some I can't remember.  She painted her paper bag, made a beaded necklace out of pasta, and created a scepter out of foil.  I love seeing her creativity come through!
